Molotov Lounge on West Sixth Street at West Avenue in Austin

Molotov can best be described as a Russian themed indoor outdoor fun and funky beer joint on two levels. Well, I don't know if that is really the best description but that's what came to mind. They have a full bar indoors that has windows open to the street and they have a full bar upstairs that is totally outdoors and unshaded or shaded and covered depending on your preference. I like these places that give you choices and there are plenty to choose from here. You can lounge in funky comfortable shabby chic elegance down stairs or you can catch some rays in the fresh air high above the exhaust laden smog at street level. The paintings are mostly of semi clad sexy KGB male and female bad guys of the cartoon magazine variety and flaming Molotov cocktail drinkers getting ready to revolt. There are multiple seating arrangements all through the bar and smoking is allowed in the outdoor areas. At least it was, some surprisingly stupid and disturbing turn of events have taken place at press time and Judge Sparks earlier ruling has been overturned. Who the hell knows anymore? Maybe it will end up in the Supreme Court. Anyway, it's located at West Avenue and Sixth Street right next door to Mother Egan's. Check it out and then you will be able to say that you are hip and cool just like Wisegeorge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9UREjUVA-E
